Full Synthetic Oil: Provides the highest level of engine protection, handles extreme heat and cold best, resists breaking down over time, and offers the longest interval between services. Ideal for newer models, turbocharged engines, and heavy-duty trucks. Synthetic Blend Oil: A mixture of synthetic and conventional oils that offers better engine protection and performance than conventional oil at a lower price point than full synthetic. Conventional Oil: Traditional petroleum-based oil suitable for older or lower-mileage vehicles with simpler engine designs and shorter service intervals.

For most modern vehicles using synthetic oil, an oil change is recommended every 5,000 to 7,500 miles or every 6 months, whichever comes first. If your vehicle uses conventional oil, operates under severe conditions (such as heavy towing, frequent short trips, or stop-and-go driving), or is a heavy-duty truck, you may need a service every 3,000 to 5,000 miles.
